Owego Fire Dept. Fund Raisers to be Held in Washington, DC

 The Owego Fire Department is proud to announce two fund raisers to be held in our nation's Capitol in February 2005. An evening fund raiser will be held on Wednesday, February 16, at the Phoenix Park Hotel to raise funds for the Owego Regional Fire Training Center. A benefit concert will take place on Thursday, February 17, at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Denis Leary Firefighters Foundation in memory of fallen Owego Firefighter Lt. Stephen G. Gavin whose birthday is on February 17.  SGG Lt. Stephen G. Gavin of the Owego Fire Department's Susquehanna Hose Company #1 fell in the line of duty August 27, 2003, after 34 years of dedicated service to the department.
