 The Washington Post has selected Those Brave Crews by Ray Ward of Waverly, New York, to be among the books it recommends in its annual Holiday Book Guide.

 Ray Ward's Those Brave Crews, which is subtitled The Epic Raid to Destroy Hitler's Ploesti Oil Fields, is an epic narrative of a 1943 low-level attack by the US Army Air Force on Romania's oil fields. Ward estimates that almost 40 percent of the attacking force of 1700 volunteers was lost, imprisoned, or wounded.
