Second Graders Visit Riverview Residents

   A group of second graders from Mrs. Hamed's class at Apalachin Elementary School on October 29 took a trip to the Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Owego to bring treats to the elderly. The children dressed up in their Halloween costumes and sang songs. After the sing-a-long, the children gave cards and holiday pins to the residents.

 The children then enjoyed cider and donuts donated by Jackson's pumpkin farm. The trip ended with the children parading through the rooms at Riverview Manor, wishing a Happy Halloween with lots of hugs and warm smiles.
