Castellucci Blood Drive - Dec 20

 Town of Owego Councilman Donald Castellucci, Jr. will sponsor his 8th annual Red Cross Blood Drive on Monday, December 20, from 1:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the at the Elks Lodge in Owego. 

 Castellucci sponsored his first blood drive in 1997 during the final days of his father's battle with cancer. Castellucci's father died on Christmas Day.

 Every year since his father's death, Castellucci has dedicated the blood drive to his father's memory. 

 "This has become the tradition that I use to honor my dad's memory. I will always be grateful for the donors who took the time to help prolong my father's life," Castellucci said. "This is my family's way of saying thank you to those who donated blood to him." 

 A rigatoni and meatball dinner will be served to all donors, a tradition begun three years ago.

 Castellucci encourages donors to bring in food donations that will be collected for the Tioga County Rural Ministry, or cash donations to the Ministry in Donald Castellucci,  Sr.'s name.
