• Introduction to Survival Skills
November 9, Tuesday, 6 - 8 pm
Learn the basics of surviving in the wilderness. The class will
touch on the fundamental principals of what to do if you find yourself
without some or all of today's modern conveniences. Bring a notebook and
a sense of adventure. Registration required. $3 members, $6 non-members.
• 1st Annual Waterman Auction
November 11, 6 - 9 pm
Come support a Waterman fund raiser and do a little shopping
for the holidays at our first auction. Both silent and live auctions will
feature items ranging from the inexpensive to the elegant and sublime.
• Travelogue: Paddling on the Panhandle
November 14, Sunday, 1 pm
Explore several northern Florida rivers, one lost city, and the
Slave Canal with Harry T. Barnes. Free for members, $2 non-members.
• Naturalist Meeting
November 17, Wednesday, 12:30 pm
All volunteers are invited. Your talents are needed.
• Tracking Club
November 20, Saturday, 10 am - 1 pm
This session will focus on plaster casting and photography. Learn
the proper techniques and practice them. Bring a notebook, pencil, measuring
tape and camera. Dress for the weather, as most of this class will be outside.
Registration required $3 members, $5 nonmembers
• Skulls Class
November 22, Monday, 6 - 7:30 pm
Have ever found a skull and wondered who or what used to own
it. Learn what that animal ate, how it saw the world and what it was. Registration
Required. $2 members, $5 non-members.
• Give the gift of a Habitat
December 4, Saturday, 1 - 3 pm
When you build that blue bird box or bat box not only are you
helping the wildlife in your area, you also have a neat gift for that person
who has everything. Build that special home and learn about those who may
someday live there. Reservations required. Choice of Bat Box or Blue Bird
Box
$20 members, $25 non-members.
