Vestal Bears Victorious
 
The Vestal Bears U14 team emerged victorious in last month's East Coast Tournament Baseball (ECTB) Halloween Bonanza played in Reading, Pennsylvania. The Bears were undefeated, beating teams from Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. In four games, the Bears scored 36 runs while allowing their opponents only 13. The Halloween Bonanza was a 2005 National Championship Series Qualifier.

 Earlier in the year the team took first place in the ECTB Mansfield tournament and third place in the 36 team East Coast Nationals, held in Reading. The team was managed this season by Tom VanGorder and Mike Talbot. Team members were from Vestal, Apalachin and Owego.
