NYS Attorney General Eliot Spitzer Visit to Owego - 3:45 pm, at Democratic Headquarters, 68 North Ave (former Conti's Jewelers Building), Owego.

OAMS Parent/Teacher/Student Group Meeting - 7 to 8:00 pm at the Owego-Apalachin Middle School Cafeteria. 

Apalachin Federated Garden Club Meeting - 7 pm at St. Margaret Mary's Church Hall, Pennsylvania Ave., Apalachin. The Ross Park Zoomobile will be there.

OCTOBER 7 - THURSDAY
Tioga Business Show 2004 - 9:30 to 5:00 pm at Owego Treadway Inn and Conference Center, Owego.

OCTOBER 9 - SATURDAY
Rummage Sale - 8 am to 2 pm, at Vestal Center United Methodist Church, 478 West Hill Rd., Vestal Center. Bag Sale starts at 1 pm.

A Voice from the Civil War - 1 pm. Eileen Patch reads excerpts from a Civil War soldier's letters. At Tioga Co Historical Soc. 110 Front St. Owego.

Craft Fair & Bake Sale - at Candor American Legion, Rt 96 Candor. Hot lunch also available.

OCTOBER 10 - SUNDAY
Daniel Decker Concert - Singer, pianist, songwriter performs at 6:30 pm at Apalachin Alliance Church, 293 Tobey Rd. Apalachin.

OCTOBER 12 - TUESDAY
German Luncheon - 11:30 am to 1pm at American Civic Association, 131 Front St., Binghamton. Menu includes Rouladen, Spaetzle, red cabbage, & apple cake. $6. Call 723-9419 for reservations.

OCTOBER 12 - TUESDAY
County Legislature Meeting - 1:30 pm, in Edward D. Hubbard Auditorium, 56 Main St., Owego.

OCTOBER 15 - FRIDAY
Harvest Dinner - 4:30 to 7:00 pm, St. Margaret Mary Church, 1110 Pennsylvania Ave, Apalachin. Menu includes roast pork, potatoes, squash, applesauce, vegetables, homemade pies. Adults $7, children 5-12 $4, under 5 free. Take outs available.

"Dracula" - 8:00 pm, play by Ti-Ahwaga Community Playersr, 42 Delphine St., Owego. $15, $12. Also performed Oct. 22 & 29 at 8 pm, and Sundays Oct. 17, 24, & 31 at 2 pm. 

OCTOBER 16 - SATURDAY
Apalachin Lions Fall Highway Cleanup - starts at 8:30 am. Lions will clean up along Rt. 434 in Apalachin. To participate, show up at Sweeney's Plaza on Rt 434 at 8:30 am. Wear gloves and sturdy footwear. Rain date is October 23.

Historic Marker Unveiling - 2:00 pm, 110 Fox St., Owego. For African Methodist Episcopal Church.

"USO" Show - 2:00 to 6:00 pm at VFW Post $1371, 207 Main St., Owego. Singers, Dancers, Comedy, and more. Raffles, Door Prizes, Food available. Tickets ($10) available at VFW.

Spaghetti Supper - 4 to 7 pm, Flemingville Church Hall, West Creek Rd. (off Rt. 38 north of Owego). Benefits Flemingville Cemetery Association.

Soup & Salad Supper - 4:30 to 6 pm, at First United Methodist Church, 71 Main St., Newark Valley. A free will offering is accepted.

OCTOBER 16 - SATURDAY
Wine Tasting - 7 pm at Tioga Democratic Headquarters, 68 North Avenue, Owego. A donation is requested. Refreshments will be served. RSVP 687-1476.

OCTOBER 17 - SUNDAY
Christmas at the Inn Craft Show - 10 am to 4 pm at the Best Western Grand Victorian Hotel, 255 Spring St. (off Exit 61\Rt 17), Sayre, PA. Free admission & parking.

Chicken & Biscuit Dinner - 12 Noon to 3 pm, at St. Thomas Church Hall in Little Meadows, PA. Chicken, biscuits, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, homemade desserts. $6.50 adults, $3 children 5-12, free for kids younger than 5.

Early Black Church Presentation - 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Owego, 228 Main St. Story & sacred music. Free will offering.

OCTOBER 21 - THURSDAY
Blood Drive - 1:30 to 6:30 pm at St. Francis Xavier Church Hall in Friendsville, PA.

OCTOBER 23 - SATURDAY
Rummage & Bake Sale - 9 am to 2 pm. Bag Sale 1 to 2 pm, United Methodist Church, Little Meadows, PA. Lunch available - chili, hot dogs, sandwiches.

Gruesome Tour of Tioga County - departs at 10 am in front of Tioga County Historical Museum, 110 Front St., Owego. Two-hour guided bus tour. See and hear about some of the most gruesome and horrific stories of the county. $8 per person. For reservations, call 1-800-671-7772. 

OCTOBER 23 - SATURDAY
Harvest Ham Dinner - starts at 4:30 pm at Vestal Center United Methodist Church, 478 West Hill Rd., Vestal Center. Adults $6.75, Senior Citizens $5.75, Children 6-12 $3.50, under 5 free.

Pork Dinner - starts at 5 pm at Nichols Methodist Church. $6.50 adults, $3.50 students, 5 & under free. Takes outs available.

OCTOBER 24 - SUNDAY
Pancake Breakfast - 8 to 11:30 am, at Campville Fire Station, Rt. 17C in Campville. Free will donation. All donations go to Jacob Williamson, a child with Leukemia.

Patchwork Puppets - 11:00 am at Apalachin Alliance Church, 293 Tobey Rd., Apalachin. Free. Open to the public. Free-will offering accepted.

OCTOBER 29 - FRIDAY
African Violet Show - 3 to 5 pm at Owego Treadway Inn, 1100 Rt 17C, Owego. Continues on 10/30

OCTOBER 30 - SATURDAY
Rummage & Bake Sale - 9 am to 3 pm, Campville United Methodist Church, 6110 Rt 17C, Endicott. Sandwich lunch available.
