• Travelogue - Canoeing in Algonquin
September 12, Sunday, 1-3pm
 Harry T. Barnes present a travelogue with stories and slides of his several autumn canoe camping adventures in the north woods. Free for members, $2 non-members.

•  National Day of Caring
September 11, Saturday, 
 Join the Waterman Center in participating in this National Day of Caring. Spend a day with friends and family and find that special project to help someone in need. It could be picking up trash, mowing some lawns, or filling some bird feeders.

• Volunteer Naturalist Meeting
September 15, Wednesday, 9:30 am
 Find out what's happening and how you can help. No registration required.

• Volunteer Appreciation Gathering
September 19, Sunday, 1 -3 pm
 The Board of Directors and the staff of Waterman Center will host an appreciation gathering for all of the center's volunteers. 

• Acoustic Jam
September 26, Sunday, 1 - 4 pm
 Come and join along with people of many talents. Bring a musical instrument, or come and sing along, or just come and listen. No registration required. This event is free for everyone.

• Full Moon Hike
September 28, Tuesday, 8 pm
 Walk the trails at Waterman and discover all the fascinations and mystical features the Full Harvest Moon has to offer. $1 members, $5 non-members.

• Fall Foliage Breakfast on Hiawatha Island
October 10, Sunday,  9 - 11 am
 Enjoy an autumn breakfast on Hiawatha Island. Menu includes scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, fruit cocktail, home fries, baked beans, juice, baked goods, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Space is limited, so make your reservations early. Cost is $17 members, $20 non-members, children under 5 are admitted free.
