Hot Summer Nights Concert - 6 to 8 pm, Courthouse Square Gazebo, Owego. The Owego Community Band will play.

Ice Cream Social - 6:30 pm, Park Terrace Community United Methodist Church, Glann Rd., Apalachin

Depot Nights - 7 pm, Nathan Little plays country music. At Railroad Depot in Newark Valley. Free.

SEPTEMBER 11 - SATURDAY
Remembrance Ceremony - 8:45,  Fireman's Fountain, Court St., Owego. Hosted by Owego Fire Dept.

Craft Fair - 9 am to 3 pm, Vestal Center United Methodist Church, 478 West Hill Rd., Vestal

Ride for the Homeless Bike Rally - 85-mile motorcycle ride. Registration at 9 am, ride at 12 Noon begins at Courthouse Square in Owego.

Tioga Journeys Tour - The Underground Railroad. Tour starts  10 am at Tioga County Historical Museum, 110 Front St., Owego. $8 per person. For reservations, call 1-800-671-7772. 

Chicken BBQ & Pig Roast - 11 am to 3 pm, Vestal Center United Methodist Church, 478 West Hill Rd., Vestal

Birthday Party for Barbie and G.I. Joe - 1 to 3:30 pm. Celebrate Barbie's 45th birthday, and Joe's 40th. At Tioga County Historical Museum, 110 Front St., Owego. Free.

SEPTEMBER 12 - SUNDAY
Pancake Breakfast - 8 am to 12 Noon, St. Patrick Church Hall, Main St., Owego. 

Berkshire Heritage Day Celebration - 10 am to 5 pm at Berkshire Fire Station. Chicken BBQ, crafts, demonstrations, quilt show, antique cars/tractors, farm animals, musicians. Parade at 2 pm. 

Spaghetti Dinner/Auction - Benefit for Jim Huff. Event starts at 12 Noon at VFW Post 1371, 207 Main Street, Owego. Raffles, 50/50, Entertainment, Fun. Dinner $3 each.

SEPTEMBER 14 - TUESDAY
Italian Luncheon - 11:30 am to 1 pm, at American Civic Association, 131 Front St., Binghamton. Lasagna, salad, Italian bread, dessert. Donation $6. For reservations, call 723-9419.

Tioga County Legislature Meeting  6 pm, Edward D. Hubbard Auditorium, 45 Main St., Owego.

Senior Health Fair & Expo - 10 am to 2 pm, K-9 demo at 11 am. Countryside Community Center, 9 Sheldon Guile Blvd., Owego. 

SEPTEMBER 18 - SATURDAY
Pancake Breakfast - 7:30 to 10 am, Flemingville United Methodist Church, off Rt. 38 north of Owego. Free will donation.

2nd Annual Tioga County River Paddle - 7:30 am to 12 Noon. Boats launch at 8:30 at Apalachin launch, arrive at Hickories at 10:30. For more info or to register your boat, call 231-7700 or 687-3263.

Rummage & Bake Sale - 9 am to 2 pm, Bag Sale at 12 Noon. At Nichols Methodist Church.

SEPTEMBER 24 - FRIDAY
St. Pat's Fall Festival - 4 to 10 pm, Front St., Owego. Includes Chicken BBQ at 4:30. Luminary dedication at 7 pm. Music. Free admission.

Depot Nights - 7 pm, with Square Deal - Tom Quigley's Blue Grass Band. At Railroad Depot in Newark Valley. Free admission.

SEPTEMBER 25 - SATURDAY
Rummage Sale - 8 am, 15 Walnut St., Nichols, NY. Benefits The Christmas Light Contest. Items for sale include dog carrier, golf clubs, skis & ski boots, baskets, books, lamps, clothes, Christmas decorations. Baked goods available. No early sales.
