At the Home Textile Tool Museum 

 The Home Textile Tool Museum  in Orwell, Pennsylvania, on SR 1036 is open every Saturday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission is $3.

• Historical Knitting - August 7
 Dorothy Bosket and Southern Tier Needles and Skeins Knitting Guild will demonstrate and display both historic and contemporary socks, mittens, finely knitted laces plus the "bosom friend" knitted garment worn by ladies.

• Youth Day - August 14 
 A day free for youth through age 14 accompanied by an adult. Storyteller Joy McCraken will bring to life the 18th century family, their chores and activities with young people doing role play characters. They may join in the many "Hands-On" stations of Wool Carding, Spinning, Weaving, Natural Dyeing, Blacksmithing, Cordage, Flax processing, etc.

• Felting - August 21 
 Felting with wet wool by Denise Nunn. The Shuttles and Spindles Guild of Newark Valley Historical Society will demonstrate/display their projects.

• Blacksmithing and other Demonstrations  - August 28 
 Blacksmithing by Richard Swensen, Wood working by Chris Fisher, weaving, spinning and natural dyeing demonstrated. This is the last day of the museum's season. 

 The museum is 15 miles south off of Route 17, Exit 62, Nichols. Follow NY 282 joins PA 187 at state line, then turn left on SR1036 (2 miles to Orwell). For further instructions call Pam (607) 648-4146, Esther (570) 278-1886 or leave message at 570-247-7175 the museum.
