Concert in the Park - 7 to 9 pm. Cobblestone Crossing performs at Hickories Park in Owego. Free admission.

AUGUST 7 - SATURDAY
Iris & Perennial Plant Sale - 9 am to 12 Noon, Vestal Public Library, Vestal. Sponsored by So. Tier Iris Society. In conjunction with book sale, flea market, farmers' market, and bake sale.

"The Mighty Susquehanna"  - a Tioga Journeys Bus Tour. Starts at 10 am at Tioga Co. Historical Museum, 110 Front St., Owego. $8 per person. For reservation, call 1-800-671-7772.

Kid's Fest 2004 - 11 am to 2 pm at Open Door Mission, 425 North Ave., Owego. Features Waterman Center Birds of Prey, Ric Rac the Clown, OFD truck, fingerprinting, free haircuts, Soft Serv Ice Cream Truck with 25¢ cones, free hot dogs and soda, Bounce House, Dunking Booth, Mountain Bike Raffle. Admission is one can of food to benefit Open Door Mission Pantry.

Happy Birthday, Barbie & G.I. Joe - Special exhibit at Tioga Co. Historical Museum celebrates the 45th birthday of Barbie and the 40th birthday of G.I. Joe. Exhibit runs through October 16. Museum is at 110 Front St. Open Tuesday - Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm.

En Plein Air - 10 am to 4pm, Art Show on porches, lawns, and sidewalks of Front St., Owego.

AUGUST 10 - TUESDAY
Tioga Co. Legislature Meeting - 1:30 pm, in Edward Hubbard Auditorium, 56 Main St., Owego.

AUGUST 12 - THURSDAY
Community Street Fair - 2 to 6 pm, Tioga Co. Boys & Girls Club, Owego. Free admission.

Democratic Committee Chicken BBQ - 6 pm at Hickories Park in Owego (in pavilion nearest he bridge over the creek in the park). Tickets are $10.

AUGUST 13 - FRIDAY
Newark Valley Days - events include Kids' Activities with zoomobile from 5 to 7 pm, Bed Races, Square Deal - Blue Grass Band at 7 pm.

Depot Friday Nights - 7 pm, Square Deal - Tom Quigley's Blue Grass Band, at Railroad Depot in Newark Valley. Free admission.

Lips Together, Teeth Apart - presented by Ti-Ahwaga Community Players, 8 pm, 42 Delphine St., Owego. $15

AUGUST 14 - SATURDAY
Flea Market/Craft Sale - 9 m to 4 pm, sponsered by Newark Valley Fire Auxiliary. Indoor/Outdoor. 

Side Hill Acres Goat Farm Tour - Tioga Journeys Bus Tour, starts 10 am at Tioga Co. Historical Museum, 110 Front St., Owego. $8. 1-800-671-7772 for reservations. Walk-ons on space available basis.

Newark Valley Days - events include Scotty Fun Run at 9 am, Craft Vendors & Games at 10 am. Parade at 11 am. Kirby Band Concert at 1 pm. High Noon performs from 5 to 7 pm. Sleepy Head from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. Fireworks.

Antique Appraisal Day - 11 am to 5 pm, with Bob Connelly, at railroad depot in Newark Valley. $5 per item fee. Refreshments available. From Rt. 38/Main Street, turn West on Water Street at the traffic light in Newark Valley.  Proceed over bridge and bear right on Whig Street. The Railroad Depot is at the first left off Whig.

Multi-Ethnic Garlic Festival - 11 am to 7 pm. Sponsored by American Civic Association, 131 Front St., Binghamton. $2.

AUGUST 22 - SUNDAY
Antique Auto Show & Flea Market - 9 am to 4 pm, Hickories Park in Owego. Admission is $2 per person or $5 per carload. Children under 12 free.

John D. Rockefeller - The Owego Connection - 7 pm, lecture by historian Emma Sedore. At Tioga Co. Historical Museum, 110 Front St., Owego.

AUGUST 27 - FRIDAY
Antique Gas & Steam Engine Show -  8 am to 6 pm, Town Park Rt 26, Maine, NY. Events include Cake Walks at 11 am & 3pm, Music by Bucky Moon at 7 pm. Suggested donation is $2 (children 12 & under are free). Show continues 
Saturday & Sunday.

SATURDAY - SEPTEMBER 4
Rudin's Olde Tyme Farm Days - 9 am to 9 pm at Rudin's Farm. Antique & steam tractors, antique cars & trucks, scenic hayrides, petting zoo, harvesting, spinning, tractor & garden tractor rodeo, operating water wheel saw mill, farm museum, western gun fight, farm, kids' play center, crafts, music, food, and more. 7 to 9 pm -  Round & Square Dance featuring Bucky Moon. Continues on Sunday, 9/5. 

Civil War & Tioga County - Bus Tour. Leaves Tioga County Historical Museum
