BCC-Owego Connection:
Students wanting to take college courses can now make the BCC-Owego connection. Broome Community College will offer day and evening courses at the Tioga County Office Building in Owego. Full-time and part-time students may choose from introductory courses in Biology, English, History, Literature, Philosophy, Public Policy, Psychology, and Sociology that may be applied to most degrees. They may also enroll in an Early Childhood Education course and in Communicating About Ideas and Values, the College's "capstone" course. Fall 2004 classes begin on August 23 and end on December 13. Most day classes meet for 75 minutes on Monday and Wednesday or on Tuesday and Thursday. Evening classes meet one night a week from 6:00 to 8:50,pm. College officials will be available to assist students with advisement and registration at the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce Building (188 Front Street in Owego) between 5:00 and 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 5; Thursday, August 12; Monday, August 16; Wednesday, August 18; and Thursday, August 19.
