Shelby Klemmt Crowned
The Little Miss Apalachin Contest, which is held every year in conjunction with the Apalachin Firemen's Field Days, is open to eight- and nine-years-old girls who live within the Apalachin Fire District. The contestants are judged on communication skills, appearance, and personality. This year's judges were Joy Ivancie, Little Miss Apalachin 1993; Cheryl Ivancie, former runner-up Little Miss Apalachin; and Tony Quaranta, Apalachin Fire Chief. Jan Warner was overseer of the event. Master of Ceremonies was Jay Manarky of Owego. Pictured above are Aubrey Burke, Little Miss Apalachin 2003, and Shelby Klemmt, Little Miss Apalachin 2004.
