• Ice Cream Social & Book Sale
July 29, Thursday, 7pm
at Firemen's Field Day Grounds
 Don't miss this annual event. Enjoy ice cream, buy some books, and hear some good music. The event is held at the firemen's field day grounds in Apalachin.

• Preschool Story Hour 
Thursdays, 10:30-11:15am
 This is a lapsit program with reading and crafts. The pre-schooler must be accompanied by a parent. 

• NY is Read, White, & Blue
Tues or Thurs, 10:30-11:15am
 Stories and crafts for elementary age kids. Learn about your state.  

• Free Family Fun
Thursdays in July at 7 pm
 July 8 - Discovery Center
 July 15 - Uncle Sam's Old Time Magic Show
 July 22 - The Traveling Vaudeville Show
  July 29 - Book Sale and Ice Cream Social at the Fireman Field day grounds

• Teen Writers Club
 Call the library at 625-3333 to sign up.

• Writers Club
 The library is looking for 10-15 beginning or experienced writers to start a writers group. The group would meet at the Apalachin Library (days and times to be determined). Those interested should have a real commitment to supportive, constructive opinions of other's work. Please call the library (625-3333) for details.

•  Donations
 The library welcomes donations but please - no encyclopedias, Reader's Digest Condensed Books, magazines, or text books.

•  Thank You 
 The library extends a special thanks to:
 Jerry Corson of Country Side Landscaping/ Firewood who did a great job of snowplowing at the library for a very reasonable cost.

•  Bottle and Can Drive
 Please bring your clean bottles and cans to the library during the summer months.
