Rubber Ducky Derby

A Rubber Ducky Derby will be held on Saturday, June 19, at 4:00 pm, in conjunction with the Annual Strawberry Festival. The  duckies will take a "swan dive"  from the Court Street Bridge and "swim" to the Tioga County Historical Museum. The first ducky to get there will win $250 for its proud owner. The next two duckies will each win $100, and the next five will win $50 each.

To become a ducky owner and to receive a list of rules, contact the Tioga County Council on the Arts, 687-0785.

Ducks are adopted for $5 each, $20 for five ducks, or $25 for a six-quack. Ducks are property of the Tioga County Council on the Arts and live in a local "pad-duck" where they are busy training for this annual Rubber Ducky Derby.

The adoptive parent(s) of the duckies need not be present at the derby to claim their prize.

The Ahwaga Canoe Club will serve as duck lifeguards and will get the entire gaggle back to their "pad-duck" at the end of the derby.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Tioga County Council on the Arts.
