Apalachin's Eric Baker
Named to 1st Team All PSAC

Eric Baker of Apalachin, a junior at Mansfield University and a graduate of Owego Free Academy, recently earned First Team Honors on the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division. He was one of five members of Mansfield's Mountaineers Baseball team to earn that honor. Two other members of the Mountaineers were named to Second Team honors.

Baker was selected to the First Team at second base. This season Baker hit .418 which was fifth best in the PSAC. He also had 74 hits which included 14 doubles, two triples and nine home runs while driving in 55 runners. Baker finished 2nd in the conference in slugging percentage (.672), 4th in hits (74), 2nd in RBIs (55), tied for 2nd in home runs (9), and third in assists (123).

The Mountaineers, who won the PSAC East Championship, had seven players named to the All-PSAC team, which is the most out of any Eastern Division team just ahead of Kutztown who placed six players on the team.
