Covered Dish Picnic
 The Apalachin Federated Garden Club will meet for a covered dish picnic at Gibbs Perennial Garden in Leraysville, PA, on Thursday, June 17. Call 625-3607 for information. 

Summer Gardening
 Members of the Garden Club will be busy from now throughout the summer planting, weeding, maintaining, and beautifying the following locations:
• Hummingbird Garden -  corner of West Main Street and Route 434.
• Apalachin Library - on Main Street
• Muth Park - on Barton Road
• Fire Station #1 - on Pennsylvania Avenue
• Fire Station #2 - on Route 434 at Tioga Terrace
• Owego Town Hall - on Route 434
• Hickories Park - in Owego
• Flower Boxes - at Glann Road, Forest Hill Road, West Main Street, and Tioga Boulevard.
• Flower Barrels - Members will be helping ACE (Apalachin Community Effort) with planting flowers in the barrels on Route 434, Pennsylvania Avenue, and at the corners of Main Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.

Meeting 
 The next meeting will be held on Thursday, September 2. Everyone is welcome to come for information, fun, and refreshments.

 The garden club extends a hearty "thank you" to the Apalachin Lions Club for mowing at the Hummingbird Garden.
