Donations in Murphy's Memory Help Little Meadows Rescue Squad The Little Meadows Rescue Squad recently purchased a new four-drawer fireproof filing cabinet. The cabinet was funded by donations given in memory of the late James M. Murphy. Mr. Murphy, a lifelong resident of Little Meadows, passed away on August 4, 2003. He was a founding member of the Little Meadows Fire Department and a friend of the Rescue Squad Ambulance. A plaque has been placed on the cabinet in his memory. The ambulance records have always been kept in a locked file; however, new federal regulations, in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA), require that all patient records and confidential materials must be kept in a locked fireproof cabinet. This cabinet brings the ambulance company into compliance with the new law. The generous support of the family and friends of James M. Murphy
helped to make this possible. A special thank you to all who contributed.
