"Learn to Row" Classes Offered

  Have some fun and exercise on the river this summer rowing.  Three "Learn to Row" classes are being offered this summer by the Hiawatha Island Boat Club, Route. 17C, Owego.  Each class has eight sessions and are weeknights starting at 6:00 p.m. Class schedule:  1st session - June 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, 23; 2nd session - July 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23; 3rd session - August 2, 4, 6, 9, 11, 13, 16, 18.  Cost for eight lessons is $85 and can be applied to the cost of the first membership to the club. Sculling lessons can be arranged on an individual basis. There are recreational rowing sessions available at no charge following the "Learn to Row" classes.
