1940 - 2004

Robert Eugene Johnston, 63, of Apalachin, died on April 28, 2004. He was born on September 6, 1940, in Marion, Ohio. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Hedy; daughter Susan (Jeff) Spencer, and sons, Robert (Alison) Johnston and Steven (Shannan) Johnston; and seven grandchildren. 
 Bob had worked as a Quality Engineer. He recently graduated from the Finger Lakes School of Massage and became a certified massage therapist, and was planning on opening his own business. 
 Bob was an active member of the Apalachin Lions Club and the First Assembly of God Church of Binghamton.
 A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, May 6, at 2:00 pm at the First Assembly of God Church in Binghamton. Memorial contributions can be made in Bob's memory to the Apalachin Lions, PO Box 317, Apalachin, NY 13732, or to the First Assembly of God Church Missions Fund, 255 Washington St., Binghamton, NY 13901.
