Crafts in the Country - 10 am to 7pm, hosted Chamerlains at 1668 Middle Rod., Owego. 

Chicken BBQ - 11 am to 2 pm, First United Methodist Church, 70 S. Main St., Newark Valley. $6.00. Pre-Sale & Take-Out Available. There will also be a Bake Sale starting at 9:30 am. Free Read will be giving away books.

Family Film Fair - 12 Noon to 5 pm, Boys and Girls Club. Movie-themed workshops, activities and crafts followed by a feature presentation of "Shrek" at 3 pm. Free lunch available from 12 Noon till 1 pm.

Take Your Mother to Spaghetti Dinner - 4:30 to 7:30 pm, Vestal Center United Methodist Church, 478 West Hill Rd., Meatballs & desserts are included.

Craft Fair and Beef Stew Luncheon - 10 am to 4 pm, Flemingville UM Church, 540 West Creek Rd (off Rt. 38 North), Owego.

Youth Craft Fair  - 11am to  3pm, in the back yard at the Tioga County Historical Society Museum, 110 Front St., Owego. Kids of all ages are invited to come and make neat crafts that you will be able to take home with you. Small fee for each of the 6 to 8 crafts that are planned.

MAY 26 - WEDNESDAY
"Transportation in Tioga County" - 7 pm. A lecture  and slide show presented by Tom McEnteer, will be held at the Tioga County Historical Museum, 110 Front St., Owego. An opportunity to look back at a time when we didn't move quite so fast.

OES Spring Concert - 7 pm at Owego-Apalachin Middle School Auditorium. 

JUNE 5 - SATURDAY
9th Annual All Night Catch & Release Catfish Derby,  - Check-in starts at 7 am at Hickories Park. Final weigh-in is 12:00 Noon sharp, on Sunday, June 6. Registration is $20. Prizes will be awarded. Call 687-1792 or 6255780 or entry form/info.
