53rd Seasons Opens May 1
 Owego Little League President Steve Gregory announces the opening of the 53rd season all day Saturday, May 1, at Hyde Park.  

 Opening Day Parade Chairman John Loftus says the traditional parade lines up from 8:00 to 8:30 am on Temple Street in front of the Owego Police Station. The parade steps off at 8:30 am. The parade route is Temple to North Avenue to George Street. Opening Day ceremonies at 9:00 am on Nick Raftis Memorial Field.

 Vice President-Baseball Andy Goodrich says 22 teams will play - five National, six American, seven Modified, and four Tee-Ball. Vice-President Softball Rocky Conte reports four ASA girls teams will see action.

 Scheduler Rich Ives says there will be 13 opening day starting at 10:30 am on the five diamond complex.  

April Calendar
 Owego Little League has a busy April calendar.

• April 5 - Team makeups and drafts start on Monday, April 5, with the National League, on Tuesday the American League and on Wednesday for Tee-Ball. 

• April 17 - Building and Grounds Chairmen Ken Winters and Mark Farabaugh encourage Owego Little League families to volunteer for the workbee at Hyde Park on Saturday, April 17.

• April 24 - Signups for the Southern Tier Teener League from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, at Hyde Park.
