Holton Promoted to Captain

John Holton II, son of Faye Trombley of California and John Holton, Sr., of Owego, was recently promoted to Captain in the United States Air Force at his duty station with the Air Force Space Command at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.

 John is a 2002 recipient of the Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service. He is currently deployed in Iraq.

 John is a 1995 graduate of Owego Free Academy and a 2000 graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology where he was recognized as an Air Force and Presidential Scholar.
