Ernest L. "Ernie" Wunder, 90, of Owego, died on Saturday, January 31, 2004. Ernie was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post #401 in Owego. He served as Chief of the Owego Fire Department and was one of the founders of the Tioga County Emergency Squad. Ernie was owner of Conway's Club Diner on North Avenue in Owego (the current Harris' Diner). Many people will remember Ernie driving his 1923 Model T Ford truck in many local parades, such as  Memorial Day Parade of 2002 which is pictured below.
