Letter to the Editor

 I would like to take this time to thank you.  I would like to thank you for the "link" that your online Hometown Newspaper gives to us geographically separated residents of Tioga County.

 Life's circumstances have taken me to the west coast where I am very happy but I still love Tioga county!  I grew up in Owego and left for the service in 1986 at the age of 23.  I still have family in the area and my interest in Owego and the surrounding area is still high. Each month I wait in anticipation for your issue to come online, it is my window into the community that I once learned in, played in, and worked in. It is the community in which I grew, the community that prepared me for my venture into the rest of the world. I enjoy looking back 25 years and I enjoy seeing what's new and whether people or places I knew make the news.  It is a link to a world that no one will ever know like I did, it was my childhood.

 Thank you from those of us that still have a yearning to keep in touch with our pasts.  Thank you for placing that window on our computer screens and giving us the opportunity to reminisce at times throughout the year.
