Kids' Corner

 Happy New Year everyone! Since it is 2004, I thought I would make some exciting new changes to my column. Each month, I will tell you about a fun Web site. I will also be informing you of "What's New,", such as, books, CDs and other great things. I will be giving you a fun fact and a cool craft each month.

 This Web site is funky and totally cool!! They, (Mega Entertainment) changed the entire Web site. If you aren't in their fan club, you should join now! They keep you updated on all the new Bratz things, in their newsletter. They also send you packages in the mail, filled with fun Bratz things! So, check out their new Web site and all the great fun you can have! This is a great Web site to learn about the coolest dolls in town!

What's New?
 Hilary Duff is coming out with a new CD, called Come Again. It should be released on January 20. I'm looking forward to it. I loved her first CD, Metamorphosis.

Cool Craft
 Would you like to help out the birds during the winter months? If you would, try making them a homemade bird feeder. You can take any size pinecone and tie a sturdy piece of string around the top of it. Then, spread some yummy peanut butter all over the entire pinecone.  Finally, roll the pinecone in birdseed and hang it on the branch of a tree. If you don't have pine cones near your house, then you can take a piece of bread or a sliced apple, tie a string through it and attach it to a branch of a tree, and watch the birds enjoy!

Fun Fact
 What's the record for the longest migration on the planet? The Arctic tern makes an unbelievable round trip that can be as long as 20,000 miles per year! Other sea birds also make amazing journeys; the longtailed jaeger flies 5,000 to 9,000 miles in each direction!

 I hope you enjoyed my new way of doing Kids' Corner. I had a fun time making it. Oh, yeah, if you go to my school (AES), and you have some ideas that I can use for my article, let me know! Maybe, your idea can be used in the future!
