Darlene Weidman 
is County Employee of the Quarter

 The Tioga County Employee Recognition Committee is pleased to congratulate Darlene Weidman on being selected "Employee of the Fourth Quarter, 2003."
 Darlene began her career with Tioga County in 1984 as a caseworker in Foster Care and then was promoted to Senior Caseworker and Case Supervisor. Darlene worked as Case Supervisor for both Foster Care and Child Protective. Darlene received the Department of Social Services Supervisor of the Year Award in 2000 and again in 2002. In September, 2002 Darlene was promoted to Coordinator of the Support Collection Unit. 

 Darlene went to Support Collection with no experience. She quickly demonstrated her ability to learn all of the highly technical regulations and deadlines. Darlene and her staff were able to meet and exceed the federal minimums in program areas and on November 19, 2003, Tioga County was presented with a state certificate because of the accomplishments of the Support Collection Unit. 

 Darlene lives in Apalachin with her husband, Roy, and their daughter, Casey. She and her husband run a decal business from their home and are supporters of local sports car racing.
