Little People, Big People
Tuesdays & Fridays, 1-2:30 pm
Little People, Big People is a nature program for 3- and 4-year-olds
and an accompanying adult. Each week has a different theme. Cost is $2
members, $3 non-members.
Tracking Class
December 6, Saturday, 1-3 pm
Learn how to identify animal tracks and what signals animals
leave behind. This two-part class will include indoor instruction as well
as an outdoor hike where you can practice your new skill. Reservations
required. $4 members, $7 non-members.
Full Moon Hike
December 8, Monday, 6:30 pm
Enjoy a hike with a naturalist and see the full moon rise over
the hills. Bring a flashlight. $1 members, $3 non-members.
Winter Tree Identification
December 13, Saturday, Noon - 2pm
As you snowshoe on Waterman Center trails (weather permitting),
you and a naturalist will identify trees. $5 members, $10 non-members.
Space is limited, call to reserve your place.
Children's Holiday Camp
December 29, 30, 31, 9 am - 3 pm
Children ages 5 - 10 will do fun things inside and outside (build
snow people, go sledding, learn to cross-country ski or snowshoe, enjoy
cocoa and do crafts, watch a movie and eat popcorn!). Bring your lunch.
$20 per day per child for members, $30 non-members. Pre-registration required.
Cross Country Skiing Class
December 27, Saturday, 10 am - Noon
Bring your own skis or rent. Weather permitting. $5 members,
$10 non-members with ski rental. $3/$6 without rental. Pre-registration
required.
Happy New Year
December 31, 7 pm - midnight
Waterman Center will celebrate the New Year at First Night in
downtown Binghamton. Waterman Center will be at the Binghamton High School.
The dreamcatchers that were made last month will be on display along with
one of the resident raptors.
