DECEMBER 5 - FRIDAY
Light Your Way - Begins at 5 pm in downtown Owego. An evening festival of music, shopping, luminaries and Santa. Continuing all evening. Downtown Owego will be  illuminated by thousands of candles, purchased to benefit NY Special Olympics.

DECEMBER 6 - SATURDAY
Home Tour and Luncheon - 10 am to 4 pm, tour 3 beautiful homes in the Nichols area and the Lounsberry United Methodist Church. $10 includes tour, entertainment, and luncheon at the church from 11:30 to 2:20. Call 699-3848 for reservations. Sponsored by Rainbow Lioness Club

Holiday Craft Fair - 10am to 4pm, at Owego Elementary School. 

Horse Drawn Wagon Ride - 11:30 am to 3:30 pm, Sweeney's Plaza, Rt 434, Apalachin, free. Rides also being given on Dec 13 & 20.

Home Tour & Auction - 1 to 4 pm (afternoon tour) or 6 to 8:30 (evening tour) with auction at 8:30 at the Elks Lodge at 223 Front St., Owego. Cost is $10/$15. Call Tioga County Council on the Arts for tickets 687-0785.

DECEMBER 7 - SUNDAY
Magic Lantern Show - 2pm, Elk's Club, 223 Front St., Owego, $5 adults, $3 children, kids under 5 admitted free. Sponsored by Tioga County Historical Society.

Owego Choral Society Concert - 3 pm, at United Methodist Church, Main St., Owego. Free.

DECEMBER 9 - TUESDAY
Czechoslovakian Luncheon - 11:30 am to 1 pm, Menu includes roast pork, sauerkraut, dumplings, green beans, homemade apple strudel. At American Civic Association, 131 Front St., Binghamton. $6.00 Call 723-9419 for reservations.

DECEMBER 13 - SATURDAY
Santa at the Library - 10 to 11:30 am, Santa arrives at the Apalachin Library, 719 Main St., Apalachin, to visit with kids. All are welcome.

Gift Wrapping Benefit - 10 am to 4:30 pm at Dick's Sporting Goods Store in Vestal Town Square Mall. Benefits Golden Retriever Rescue. Donations accepted.

Spaghetti Benefit Dinner - 4 to 8 pm, Benefit for James Lavine. At St. John's Catholic Church, 24 Rock St., Newark Valley. Also 50/50 raffles, Bake Sales and Gift Raffles. Free will offering for dinner. 

Desserts & Benefit Auction - Desserts & preview at 6 pm, Auction at 7 pm. At Newark Valley High School. Benefits Newark Valley Historical Society. 

DECEMBER 14 - SUNDAY
Christmas Cantata - "The First Noel," 7 pm, First United Methodist Church, 70 S. Main St. (Rt 38) Newark Valley. Free will offering.

DECEMBER 18 - THURSDAY
Cookie Swap - 6 to 8 pm, hosted by The Timeless Gift Shoppe at Tioga County Council on the Arts, 179 Front St. Bring one dozen cookies and one dozen recipes to swap.

DECEMBER 19 - FRIDAY
Christmas Concert - 7:30 to 9 pm, Owego-Apalachin Middle School Auditorium, Elm St., Owego. A Master Series Concert sponsored by the Tioga County Council on the Arts. Free admission. Donations accepted.

DECEMBER 20 - SATURDAY

OFA Classes 1966-70 Reunion - 7pm, at the  Rainbow Trail, Owego.
