Project Blizzard Box Needs Your Help

 Since 1996, Tioga Opportunities, Department of Aging has provided Blizzard Boxes to make sure that homebound senior citizens who usually receive home delivered meals will have food to eat if inclement weather prevents their routine meal delivery. Blizzard Boxes contain shelf stable emergency meals. The boxes will be provided to those senior citizens who receive home delivered meals. Anyone joining the home delivered meal program during the winter months will also receive a Blizzard Boxes.

 The agency anticipates the need for 240 Blizzard Boxes this year. Each $8.00 donation will provide a senior with a box including three nutritionally balanced emergency meals. Donations in any amount will be accepted.
