Chicken & Biscuit Dinner to Benefit Rural Ministry

 Tioga County Rural Ministry is sponsoring a Chicken and Biscuit Dinner from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, on  Friday, October 17, at the Owego Elks, 223 Front Street, Owego. Ticket prices are $6.00 for big eaters and $4.00 for little eaters. Tickets can be purchased at the TCRM Office at 60 North Avenue, Owego, or by calling 687-3021 from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm. 

 The dinner will provide much-needed funds for TCRM's continued service to our community.    The event will also celebrate TCRM's 25th anniversary year; so there will be displays on TCRM's Past and Present.   Diocese of Rochester Bishop Matthew Clark plans to attend the Dinner to personally thank the many volunteers and staff.   

 In their most recent fiscal year TCRM has helped 2,496 clients.  Services include food pantry, emergency assistance with fuel, utilities, rent and medical payments, transportation to appointments, home repairs, and home visits.  In that same year, TCRM volunteers from all faiths have donated over 3,300 hours of service.
