Tioga Business 2003 - 9:30 am to 5 pm, Business Show at the Owego Treadway Inn & Conference Center, Owego. $3. (Stop in at the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce for a free ticket.)

Theology on Tap - 7 pm, P.T. Reardon's, 435 W. State St., Binghamton. Program for young adults. Speaker is Father Jeff Paulish. Topic is "Sacraments & Grace." Sponsored by Nazareth Marian Center (786-2145)

OCTOBER 10 - FRIDAY
Candor Fall Festival - a wonderful weekend of all kinds of activities:  woodcarving show, hot glass blowing demos, open houses, live music, book sales, good food, living history exhibits,  quilt show and more. Continues through Sunday, Oct. 12.

OCTOBER 11 - SATURDAY

Oktoberfest Dinner - 2 to 6:30 pm, St. Mary/St. Anthony in Wyalusing Parish Hall. Assortment of German and seasonal food. $6.50 adults, $3.50 children 5-12, free for children under 5.

Voice from the Civil War - 1 pm, A Living History Presentation by Eileen Patch, author of "This from George." Tioga County Historical Society, 110 Front St., Owego. Free admission.

Soup & Salad Buffet - 4:30 to 6:30 pm, Campville Fire Station #1, Rt 17C, Campville. Free will offering. Sponsored by Campville Fire Dept. Auxiliary.

OCTOBER 12 - SUNDAY

Tioga Co. Legislature Meeting - 1:30 pm at Edward Hubbard Auditorium, 56 Main St., Owego.

OCTOBER 16 - THURSDAY
Open House - Tioga County Archives and Records Department, 9 am to 4 pm, 16 Court St., Owego.

OCTOBER 17 - FRIDAY
Chicken & Biscuit Dinner - 5 to 7 pm, Owego Elks, 223 Front St., Owego. $6/$4. Benefits Tioga County Rural Ministry

OCTOBER 18 - SATURDAY
Rummage & Bake Sale - 9 am to 2 pm, Bag Sale from 1 to 2 pm. Lunch available - chili, hot dogs, and sandwiches. Little Meadows Methodist Church, Little Meadows, PA.

Senior Craft Fair - 10 am to 3 pm, Countryside Community Center, 9 Sheldon Guile Blvd, Owego. All handmade items by senior vendors.

Soup & Salad Supper - 4:30 to 6:30 pm, First United Methodist Church, 71 Main St., Newark Valley. Free will offering.

Harvest Dinner - 5 pm, Nichols United Methodist Church. Take outs available.

Tales of Hoffman Operalogue - 8 pm, a preview of The Tales of Hoffman, includes facts, musical performances, and reception. $8 adults, $5 for TCO Guild Members, $2 students. Call (607) 772-0400 or purchase at the door.

OCTOBER 19 - SUNDAY
Rail Fest - 10 am to 4 pm, Model Train & Railroadiana Show, Heritage Conference Center, Watson Blvd., Johnson City. Adults $4, Seniors $2.50, Family Max $8, no charge for children under 12.

Christmas Craft Show - 10 am to 4 pm, Best Western Grand Victorian Inn, 255 Spring St., Sayre, PA (Exit 61 off Rt 17). Features quality items from some of the finest crafters in PA and NY.

Gospel Music - 10:45 am, Mountain Chapel, 2070 Sulphur Springs Rd., Owego. Performance by The Over the Hill Country Gospel Singers and Band.

Chicken & Biscuit Dinner - Noon to 3 pm, St. Thomas Church Hall, Little Meadows. Chicken, biscuits, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, homemade pies, coffee, & tea. $6.50 adults, $3.00 children 5-12, free for kids under 5. 

OCTOBER 21 - TUESDAY
Public Hearing - 9 am, Tioga Opportunities, Inc., Dept of Aging annual Public Hearing, at Countryside Community Center, 9 Sheldon Guile Blvd., Owego. Registration at 8:45 am. Proposed plans/budgets for 2004 will be presented.

OCTOBER 24 - FRIDAY
Harvest Dinner - 4:30 to 7 pm, St. Margaret Mary Church, 1110 Penn. Ave., Apalachin, Chicken & biscuit, mashed potatoes, vegetables, homemade pies. Adults $6.50, Kids 5-12 $4, Under 5 free.

OCTOBER 25 - SATURDAY
Harvest Ham Dinner - 4:30 pm, Vestal Center United Methodist Church, 478 West Hill Rd., Vestal Center. Adults $6.75, Senior Citizens $5.75, Children 6-12 $3.50, free for children under 5 & younger.
