Apalachin Author Announces Publication of 4th Romance 

Local romance author Elena Greene announces the publication of The Redwyck Charm, a Signet Regency Romance from New American Library, part of the Penguin Putnam publishing group. 

 The Redwyck Charm is Elena's fourth Regency (romance set in the time of Jane Austen) and is the second in a series of stories featuring the Three Disgraces which began with The Incorrigible Lady Catherine.   The trilogy centers around three unconventional young women from different classes of Regency society who become friends at a select school for girls.   

 In The Redwyck Charm, Lady Catherine's friend Juliana masquerades as an opera dancer to escape an arranged marriage, only to fall into the arms of a charming rake.  According to Romantic Times magazine, "Greene takes a complicated situation and renders it both believable and enjoyable in its untangling, as the lovely Juliana falls victim to The Redwyck Charm.

 Elena Greene sold her first romance, Lord Langdon's Kiss, after winning the Royal Ascot competition.  Her second romance, a novella entitled The Wedding Wager, appeared in the anthology His Blushing Bride, which was a Romantic Times Top Pick for May 2001 and subsequently won the National Readers' Choice Award for best romantic novella.

 Romantic Times has called Elena Greene a "talented writer" and "someone special to watch."  Affaire de Coeur has called her "a future star of the Regency." 

 Elena lives in Apalachin with her husband and two daughters.  Elena is a member of the Southern Tier Authors of Romance and the Beau Monde special interest chapter of the Romance Writers of America.     

 Elena's next Regency romance, Saving Lord Verwood, is due out in May of 2004 and will complete the Three Disgraces series.
