October is Fire Prevention Month, and the Apalachin Fire Department will hold its Annual Open House on Saturday, October 11, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Station #1 on Pennsylvania Avenue. And remember - when you change your clocks back to Standard Time on Sunday, October 26, be sure to change your smoke detector batteries!
