Fire at Robinson Lumber
Firefighters from Campville, Owego, Tioga Center, and surrounding departments battled a blaze at Robinson Lumber on Day Hallow Road in Owego on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 27.  The fire destroyed two sawmills, their buildings, and generators to operate the mill.  Owego Fire Department firefighter Stephen Gavin suffered a heat attack and is listed in critical condition at Wilson Memorial Center. The fire which started in the generator room is still under investigation.  All are asked to pray for the recovery of firefighter Stephen Gavin.
