Camera Club Meeting - 7:15 pm, at Tioga County Council of the Arts Building, 179 Front St., Owego. There will be a competition for club members. Everyone is welcome

Tioga County River Paddle - 7:30 am to 12 Noon Launch from Apalachin Bridge Boat Launch at 8:30. Paddle to Hickories. Call 625-9922 or 687-3263 for more information.

Rummage & Bake Sale - 9 am to 12 Noon, 1st Congregational Church, Main St., Newark Valley

Craft Fair - 9 am to 3 pm, Vestal Center United Methodist Church, 478 West Hill Road, Vestal Center. No admission charge. In conjunction with  Chicken BBQ and Pig Roast from 11 am to 3 pm.

Walking Tour - 10 am, Tioga County Historian Emma Sedore leads a tour of Owego homes thought to have been part of the Underground Railroad, including the Baptist Church, famed for its anti-slavery activities, and the home of Hammond H. Pinney, prominent businessman and local abolitionist. Tour starts at the Tioga 
County Historical Museum on Front St in Owego.

Chicken BBQ & Pig Roast - 11 am to 3 pm, Vestal Center United Methodist Church, 478 West Hill Rd., Vestal Center. In conjunction with Craft Fair from 9 am to 3 pm

Antique Appraisal Day - with Bob Connelly, 11 am to 4 pm, Bement-Billings Homestead, Newark Valley. $5 per item. 

SEPTEMBER 14 - SUNDAY
Outdoor Mass - 11 am, Hickories Park Band Shell, Owego. Bishop Matthew Clark of the Rochester Diocese will preside. Bring a lawn chair. Catered Picnic to follow - for tickets call 687-1068. 

Berkshire Heritage Day - at Berkshire Fire Station. Chicken BBQ, crafts & demonstrations, quilt show, antique cars and tractors, farm animal shows, raffle of many interesting prizes, "Bucky Moon" band, local musicians and artists, and a parade  at 2 pm.

Hiawatha Heron Hustle 8K Road Race - 9:30 am, Registration at 8:30 am. Waterman Center Boat House, west end of Marshland Rd., Apalachin. Children's 2K Run at 10:30 am. For information, call 625-4132
