Head-On Collision Claims Three Lives

 A head-on collision on Route 38B in Newark Valley, around Noon on July 25, claimed the lives of three people. According to the Tioga County Sheriff's Department, Christine Berry, 19, of Newark Valley, was east bound on Route 38B when she drove into the westbound lane and collided with a car driven by James Connerton, 79, of Binghamton.
 Christine Berry, was pronounced dead at the scene. James Connerton died July 26, and his wife, Mary Connerton, 78, a passenger in the car, died August 1. Both died of injuries sustained in the accident.  
 James Lefine, 19, of Richford, who was recently engaged to Christine Berry, was a passenger in the her car. He was airlifted to Wilson Memorial Hospital and has been released. 
 The investigation is continuing.
