• Mother/Daughter Book Club
August 18, Monday, 7 pm
The Mother/Daughter Book Club will be discussing Esperanza Rising.
This is a discussion group for mothers and their daughters (age 10 and
older). Please call the library if you would like to participate.
There is still time to join the group.
• Pre-Reader Story Time
Thursday, 10:30-11 am
Parents with children who haven't yet entered First Grade are
welcome to join this lap-sit program which offers stories, finger plays,
songs, and crafts. Registration isn't necessary and new friends are always
welcome to join the group.
• Town Scavenger Hunt
Win free books for the family by finding the twelve Apalachin
locations pictured in the library scavenger hunt. Copies are available
at the library. The hunt ends August 15.
• Ice Cream Social & Book Sale
August 7, Thursday, 6:30 pm
Apalachin Field Day Grounds
The 7th Annual Ice Cream Social and Book Sale will be held at
6:30 pm on Thursday, August 7, at the Apalachin Field Day Grounds. Music
will be provided by students in the Owego-Apalachin Summer music program.
Come browse the books, see your neighbors, and enjoy some ice cream and
music. Many thanks to the local businesses that helped sponsor the social.
