District Attorney Keene Seeks Re-Election Tioga County District Attorney Gerald A. "Jerry" Keene announced that he will seek re-election to the post he has held since 1999. Keene previously served as First Assistant District Attorney for 14 years. He is a lifelong resident of the Village of Waverly. "I am honored to have had the opportunity to serve the people of Tioga County and I plan to ask their approval to serve as their District Attorney for another four years," said Keene. "Tioga County is my home, I am blessed to have been a part of this great community and I look forward to continuing to raise my family in the place we all love so much. I plan to continue my efforts to assure Tioga County is a safe place to live and that crime rates are kept low - we are indeed fortunate that Tioga County retains its "hometown" atmosphere and that major crime problems are something we only read about in the papers," said Keene. "I also plan to assure my office is run in the most efficient manner possible and no opportunity to save taxpayer money goes unnoticed," concluded Keene.
