144th Tioga County Fair - Opens July 8 and continues through Saturday,
July 12.
JULY 9 - WEDNESDAY
Free Concert - 7 to 9 pm, Hickories Park, Owego. Cobblestone Crossing
performs folk music.
JULY 10 - THURSDAY
Public Information Meeting - 7 pm, at Owego Free Academy, hosted by
Tioga County Strategic Planning Group (11 dept. heads & the county
manager), discussion of county budget.
JULY 11 - FRIDAY
Chicken BBQ - 3 to 5 pm, American Civic Association, 131 Front St.,
Binghamton. Take out only. $5
Kids Night Out - 7 to 8 pm, gazebo at courthouse square, Owego. Fun
with Puppets, by Tom Knight, puppeteer
JULY 12 - SATURDAY
A Walk Through Time - 10 am to 4 pm, Hiawatha Island, self-guided tour
through "living history" demonstrations sponsored by Waterman Center. Tours
leave from
Casey's Crossing on the west end of Marshland Rd. in Apalachin. $8
for Watermen members, $10 non-members, half price for children 6-12, free
for children under 5. $30 per family.
AYFL Sign-Ups - 10 am to 2 pm, at Fire Station #1, Pennsylvania Ave.,
Apalachin. Football and cheerleading sign-ups.
Fire Safety Day at McDonald's - 11 am to 4 pm, Owego McDonald's Rt 17C
& Hickories Rd, includes live radio broadcast (11am-1pm), presentations
by Owego Fire Dept. (1-3 pm) and free face painting for kids (2-4 pm).
DAR Meeting - 1 pm, at the home of Mrs. Mary Lou Field, 13 Water St.,
Candor. Regent Harvalee Dimon will speak on Know Your DAR. Members, guests,
and women interested in joining the DAR are welcome.
Ice Cream Social - 4 to 7 pm, Flemingville United Methodist Church,
590 West Creek Road (off Rt. 38) Owego.
JULY 15 - TUESDAY
County Legislature Meeting - 1:30 pm, Edward D. Hubbard Auditorium,
56 Main St., Owego.
JULY 16 - WEDNESDAY
Free Concert - 7 to 9 pm, Hickories Park, Owego. Tom Eagan & The
Mojo Boogie Band (Blues music)
JULY 17 - THURSDAY
Community Street Fair - 2 to 6 pm, on Temple Street in Owego. Interactive
booths & displays, free food, free games, free live music, free entertainment.
Sponsored by Owego Police Department.
JULY 18 - FRIDAY
Kids Night Out - 7 to 8 pm, gazebo at courthouse square, Owego. Sing-a-long
Fun for Kids of All Ages, by John Simon
Antique Engines & Tractors Reunion - 12 Noon to 10 pm, Kirby Park,
Nichols. Garden Tractor Pull at 2 pm, Roast Beef Dinner at 6 pm. Music/Entertainment
at 7 pm. Event continues through July 20. Free Admission & Parking.
Roast Beef Dinner - 6 pm, Kirby Park Nichols, in conjunction with Antique
Engines & Tractors.
JULY 19 - SATURDAY
Blueberry Community Day - Nichols, NY, Rainbow Lioness Club will sell
blueberry pies, muffins, cobblers, and more at Kirby Park. Raffles including
queen size quilt.
Antique Engines & Tractors Reunion - Kirby Park, Nichols, all day,
Chicken BBQ at Noon, Antique Tractor Pull at 2 pm, Chinese Auction at 5pm,
Bucky Moon Band at 7 pm. Free Admission & Parking.

Antique Engines & Tractors Reunion - 6am to 4 pm, Kirby Park, Nichols.

JULY 23 - WEDNESDAY
Free Concert - 7 to 9 pm, Hickories Park, Owego. Radio London performs
music of the ‘50s and ‘60s.
JULY 25 - FRIDAY
Relay For Life - Starts at 6 pm, at Owego Free Academy. The overnight
event will continue through 2 pm on Saturday, July 26
Kids Night Out - 7 to 8 pm, gazebo at courthouse square, Owego. Magic
for Kids, by Dennis Keith Productions
JULY 26 - SATURDAY
Hickory Smoked Blues - gates open at noon, all-day Blues festival,
Hickories Park, Owego. On-site vendors offer BBQ style food, beverages.
Admission is $20 at the gate, $17.50 in advance. Call 687-0785 for tickets.
JULY 30 - WEDNESDAY
Free Concert - 7 to 9 pm, Hickories Park, Owego. Mason Warrington Band
