4-H Boater Safety Course Offered

  A Tioga County 4-H Boater Safety Course will be held Friday, June 13, from 6:30 to 9:00 pm, and Saturday, June 14, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm in rooms 107-108 of the Tioga County Office Building, 56 Main Street in Owego.

 The course is sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension, Tioga County, and the Bureau of Marine and Recreational Vehicles. It is free of charge and is open to youth 10 to 16 years of age who plan to operate motor boats, and adults who plan to operate a personal watercraft (PWC). A certified boater safety instructor will teach the course.

 Participants must register by Monday, June 8, 2003, by calling the Cornell Cooperative Extension office at 687-4020. Class size is limited to 25 participants.
