New "Ride Tioga" Buses Roll Out
Grant funds were also secured to put up the new yellow, green, and blue bus stop signs you may have seen going up around the county as well as the publication of new user-friendlier bus schedules. Next year, the county hopes to be awarded additional funds to buy three large buses that will serve the county's routes to Ithaca and Cornell University. The county is alos working on some route modifications for January 2004 that will provide improved service to the overcrowded Ithaca routes and better connections to Broome County shopping and educational institutions. The county hopes that all of these new Ride Tioga improvements will entice more riders to use this important community service.
