Howard to Run for Sheriff
| Gary Howard, Senior Investigator for Tioga County Sheriff's Department, announces that he is a candidate for the office of Tioga County Sheriff. Howard made the announcement at a press conference on April 29 at the Owego Treadway Inn. Howard feels that his twenty-five years of law enforcement and leadership experience with the Tioga County Sheriff's Office make him uniquely qualified to fill this very important position. Howard also announced that Administrative Sergeant Michael Jackson is his choice for Undersheriff. The current sheriff, Roger E. Besser, has decided not to seek re-election. (See story) |  |
