Berkshire Emergency Squad News
New Furniture Donated
The Berkshire Emergency Squad received new furniture from Raymour
and Flanigan to furnish the ambulance company's new bunk room in the Newark
Valley Office for volunteers who work the overnight shift. The Johnson
City furniture store located on Reynolds Road donated three new sofas to
the squad. The volunteers are very grateful for the gifts from Raymour
and Flanigan. One volunteer said, "It sure beats sleeping on the floor!"
Volunteers Needed
The Berkshire Emergency Squad is looking for a few good volunteers.
They need Web site developers, grant writers, clerical help, EMTs, people
who want to take a class to be a volunteer, aides, drivers, and anyone
who would like to help with a few fund raisers. Any help that you
give will help the community. For more information call Mark Medina at
642-3451 or call 657-2727.
The Berkshire Emergency Squad provides emergency services to 8,000
people in Northern Tioga County in roughly 100 square miles.
