Little People, Big People
Tuesdays, 9-10:30 am, 1-2:30 pm
 Little People, Big People is a nature program for 3- and 4-year-olds and an accompanying adult. Each week has a different theme. $2 members, $3 non-members. Pre-registration  required.

Seed Starting Basics
April 12, Saturday, 1 pm 
 Join organic farmer Lisa Bloodnick for a fact-filled session on seed starting. Learn how to make a "no-waste" soil block. $2 members, $4 non-members. 

Earth Day Film Festival
April 26, 11 am - 6 pm 
 Spend a day at Waterman Center viewing award-winning films being show continuously during the day. Popcorn and beverages will also be available for purchase. Featured films are: Affluenza, the unsettling impact of rampant materialism; Deconstructing Supper, what is in our food and how is it grown; Save Our Lands, Save Our Towns, expresses concern for growing sprawl; Compost, Truth or Consequences; answers and solutions to common composting questions and problems; and Design with the Sun, a tour of passive solar homes. $5 members, $7 non-members.

NYS Safe Boating Class
April 29, May 6,13,20, 6:30-9 pm
 This course prepares you for the License for Personal Watercraft test. This class is required for youth ages 10 to 18 to receive their license. Books and materials will be provided. Test for licensing will be the last day of class. The class will be taught by Dick Place. The class fee includes a boat trip and tour of Hiawatha Island. For ages 10 and up. $7 members, $10 non-members.

Volunteer Naturalist Meeting
April 30, Wednesday, 9:30 am
 All volunteers are invited to this monthly meeting to discuss opportunities for volunteering at Waterman. Your talents are needed, so don't be shy. Coffee and a morning snack will be waiting for you. a 35mm camera if possible, but some of the techniques may be used with a point and shoot camera. Pre-registration required. $10 members, $12 non-members.
