Old Glory Postage Stamps
The U.S. Postal Service on April 3 issued a booklet of 20 stamps with five different designs inspired by our flag, Old Glory. The stamps (pictured below) feature a 20th Century carving of Uncle Sam riding a high-wheel bicycle, a badge with a photo of Benjamin Harrison from the 1888 Presidential campaign, a 19th Century folk art carving of a woman holding a flag, a modern folding fan with a flag design, and detail from an 1893 bookmark.
