May 5, Monday, 7 pm
The Book Club will discuss Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man by Fannie
Flagg on Monday, May 5, at 7:00 pm. This book was originally titled
Coming Attractions and was the first book Fannie Flagg wrote, preceding
Fried Green Tomatoes. Please stop in and request a copy soon. Everyone
is welcome to join the discussion.
Pre-School Story Time
Thursday mornings, 10:30 - 11:00 am
Pre-School Story Time will be sharing stories of spring during
April. Parents with children ages 3 and up are welcome to participate.
This lap-sit program offers stories, finger plays, songs and crafts. A
new topic will be explored each month. Registration isn't necessary and
new friends are always welcome to join the group.
Volunteers Needed
The library is looking for people to assist the chairman of the
Ice Cream Social. If you have a few hours to spare, call Mary Ellen Baburchak,
625-4767, or call the library at 625-3333.
Stopped in Lately?
If you haven't been to the library since last fall's renovation,
stop in soon and see what's new. The library's hours have changed, too,
so check out the new hours listed below.
Lost Items
Several items have been left behind at the library lately including
mittens, hats, and children's eye glasses. Check at the desk for any missing
items the next time you are in the library.
Book Donations
Apalachin Library is always glad to accept used books in usable
condition. Please remember that they cannot take Reader's Digest condensed
books, encyclopedias, or old text books. Books may be left any time the
library is open.
