Overdue Fines Forgiven
 From now through November 26, all current overdue fines will be erased when a patron makes a donation of two or more non-perishable food items. Donated food will go to the Apalachin Lions Club and to the Tioga County Rural Ministry to be distributed to those in need in our communities. Notice will not be sent out. Please ask if you are not sure if you currently owe overdue fines to the library.

Coat Drive
 Used winter coats are being collected for the needy by St. Margaret Mary's Youth Group. Donated coats may be dropped off at the Apalachin Library. The last day to donate coats is Saturday, November 23. Please make sure that coats are clean and in good condition.

Book Club 
 The book club will meet on Saturday, November 9 at 10:00 am to discuss The Girl With a Pearl Earring. Anyone interested in joining the discussion is welcome. Contact the library if you would like to borrow a copy of the book. 

Santa Claus is coming to Town
 Santa Claus is coming to the  Apalachin Library on Saturday, December 7, at 10:00 am to visit with area children. He will arrive by fire truck and will be at the library until 11:00 am.  There will be small presents for the children, holiday music, and refreshments for all. Santa's visit is a gift to the community from the Apalachin Lions Club, the Apalachin Fire Department, and the Apalachin Library.
