a chain saw, a tan, a perm, a pool or spa, office supplies, a video to
rent, a package shipped, keys made, a plumber, bird seed, pet supplies,
sporting goods, real estate services, tires, a train set & supplies,
an electric motor rebuilt, gas grills, a snow blower, snow plowing, a sub
sandwich, soup in a bread bowl, pizza, bulk food, copier cartridges, candles,

special gift, rent a car or rent a truck, clothing for men, a new computer,
your nails done, a massage, new draperies, pizza & wings, an adult

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MERCHANTS, and they will support you.
When you and your children go out to collect funds and get sponsorships for upcoming spring and summer events and programs, remember where you plan to do your holiday shopping this Christmas. Can you really expect a local merchant to contribute to an event or program when you spent your holiday shopping dollars elsewhere? When you, (or your child) go around collecting, ask yourself, - Did I ever shop here before or is this my first time in the store? If you have never stepped foot in the store before, how can you expect that merchant to give you help now? Maybe you should try going to Sam's Club, K-Mart, Wal-Mart, Circuit City, Lowe's, or some other big chain store and see if they will help you out, if that is where you plan to do your holiday shopping. Happy Holidays from all
