Ribbon Cutting in Apalachin
On Wednesday, November 21, a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held for four Apalachin businesses: Cedar Court II, Ichabod's Imports, Simply Elegant, and Spirits of Apalachin. They are all located at Sweeney's Plaza on Route 434.

Cedar Court II offers an eclectic blend of unique gifts. They also carry a wide variety of gourmet snacks from Raspberry Nut Supreme to Peanut Butter Pocket Pretzels, as well as a number of other popular mixtures. Cedar Court II is well known in the Southern Tier for their gourmet fudge-frosted apples.

Ichabod's Imports, which is owned by George, Debby, and Shana DeGroat, has been open in Owego since June 1, 2000, and in Apalachin since July 3, 2001. They sell high quality wicker furniture, wicker baskets, finished and unfinished wood furniture, home decor, candles, and unique gifts.

Simply Elegant recently joined Cedar Court II at the plaza. They offer accessories for home entertaining as well as floral designs which can be created to complement home decor.

Spirits of Apalachin sells wine and liquor and is under the new ownership of Dan Mott.
